----------------------------------------
Oh boy, the mind game continue with Monokuma.

One interesting factor about the episode that I noticed is how Naegi converses with characters from the past in his head including Kirigiri. Bit of creepy feeling if you ask me as they aren't actually real and their faces are distorted. I think it's part of his own self conscious of feeling that he let others down.

The despair though..

In the beginning shows the adults looking over at the main group in season 1. No OP.

The detective girl left her note, which indicates that everyone committed suicide. The monitor is related? It's a recorded weird video that brainwash into despair (like the one in Zetsubou-hen?), with daggers provided behind the screen. He sees those that dead in season 1. Wow, Suwabe-san's character is still alive and somehow helped him stop from suicide

He cut his arm to keep him awake. He hated main guy for being able to defeat despair girl instead of himself. Wait, the old man planned it? Suwabe-san's character went to the power room to shut them down, though he's getting weak from losing the blood. ED when everything is done.

The main guy asked the animator about the video. Message from the old man?

Watched it raw with a few translations from someone, but... that was one hell of an episode.

Did Mitarai say that Junko is the mastermind? But Munakata's deductions point to Tengan, apparently? I need the subs ASAP to make sense of this mess.

Juzo is the best boy in the entire Danganronpa series (besides Komaeda, that madman can't be topped). I liked him since the very beginning, but this episode has made him into one of my favorite characters in the franchise.

I'm kinda pissed that Sakakura, of all people, did outsmart Kirigiri by being the only one to have the basic idea of cutting his arm off.

They really connected Mirai Hen with Zetsubou-hen quite well with brainwashing technique.
OMG everything would be solved just to shut off power. Kappa what a way to end it.

RIP JUZO T^T He went out with a Bam! TRUE MVP!! Saved Naegi and got the wristbands off too. Munakata's crying face was sad to see :( It kinda felt slightly anticlimatic that the solution to those wristbands was within reach all along tbh but I'll leave it at that

And friggin Chisa's smirk at the start when she leaned on Munaka. Just DAMN

Loved how Naegi kept glaring at Ryouta. It's just amazing how well Zetsubo and Mirai got connected

I still can't believe Ruruka's death was actually suicide afterall. So it really was like Komaeda. But well she was in despair...

Mere speculation, but I believe that would have triggered the poison, like some sort of tacit forbidden action. Basically, with his arm cut, Sakakura was the only one who could off the power and save everyone.

Wait what---?! #shocked

So, the most of FF guys were suicide because of the "Mitarai's damn brainwashing video"?!
One of my friend did predict that too o-oa

Um-- So is Tengan or Mitarai, who much likely are 'the mastermind' of this final game?!

About the last words of Tengan back then, is that really for Makoto or actually pointed for Mitarai?!

ALREADY SO MANY REPLIES? :O
Watching the raws right now...I'm so nervous D:

BRAINWASHING MONITOR IS CONFIRMED!
(MONOKUMA THEATHER OF DOOM!)
(I'm happy they are showing what happens inside the mind of the brainwashed, this is something that was missing in Zetsubou-hen)
(MONDO BUTTER! Wow, that is disturbing D:)
And then they committed suicide.
Sakakura is alivee (kinda)! And he cut his arm! I was wondering if someone would do that XD CLEVER SAKAKURAAA! He cut the power!
The game is over anyway, right? Nobody died...
I CRIED FOR SAKAKURA WTF Ç-Ç This DR for you I guess

THAT ENDIIIING! OH MAAAAAAAAAAAN! WHAT IS HAPPENING >-<
Tengan message is probably automatic or something like that...
BUT HE KNEW SOMETHING! SHADY OLD MAN D:
And Ryota, I guess he said that the one who created the video was Junko...?

Now I'm going to work hyped af :O

Watched the french subbed episode.

The set up of the game is so perfect for whoever designed it. Everything works automatically. You don't have to be there for supervision, because it all works without any need for human control. And by "there", I mean either geographically, or even among the living. You can even get to participate as a legitimate player just for laughs, if that's what you want.

Guys by now who is the mastermind should be obvious IZURU!!! He is the one behind all this, only he can do this, pretty sure that Sonia, Fuyuhiko, Soda and Akane are help him too. They control Monokuma from Jabberwock island and now that the game is at it's end they are leaving the island and go there in person, after all we all know that in Danganronpa the Mastermind is always the last character(s) to appear.
Someone could ask of how Izuru knew of the submarine building, quite simple CHISA (and maybe TENGAN) told him. After all the NEO WORLD PROGRAM was a failure and at the end of DR2 even "Hajime"say that he don't know if they would have a "good ending", a very ambiguous line. I don't know if the comatose kids are now awake and help Izuru in this but is a possibility. The fact is that is very probable that Izuru and the other four survivors are Ultimate Despair again and the masterminds behind this killing game, otherwise why left the island after have beaten the FF fleet ? Sorry for my bad english.

Don't you dare blame my babies.
But seriously, I don't think they're behind this. That would be totally anti-climatic, and would also mean there's a reason to kill all of them, which was what Naegi was trying to avoid. So I really don't think so.

I'M SO TOUCHED SO MANY OF YOU WANTED A KISS BETWEEN JUUZO AND MUNAKATA. NO ONE CAN RESIST THEM. I wish other anime would do more stuff like that. An anime doesn't need to be yaoi/yuri to have LGBT characters zzzz REPRESENTED SO WELL BTW WITHOUT STERYOTYPES AND SHIT. Ah, Danganronpa is awesome

I think seeing Naegi in despair-mode was interesting. It just shows that even the person who is the most hopeful of them all can succumb to the hypnosis video. Also, it was heartbreaking to see Juzo die before Munakata could reach him, but he went out like a hero by saving Naegi and turning off the power. I am a little concerned that there is only one episode to wrap this whole story up as well as address the whole Hajime and crew deal, but hopefully the conclusion will be solid.

Now it's confirmed that everyone was the attacker after all. I'm happy to see that the Despair Arc and this one blend well together, you definitely need the information that one gives to understand better the other.

Ah yeah and now I like Sakakura, I thought I'd hate him until the end but now he's one of my favorite character in Danganronpa 3... This show sure is something.

On a sad note, seems like Kirigiri is definitely dead. I still wonder why the Cure W was near her body but well maybe it will be explained in the last episode (or maybe it was nothing and it was just there to deceive us)

So in the end juzo actually wound up being the most non ironically likable and well written character of the new cast. That scene of him dying was genuinly touching

AND FUCK YEAH time to stroke my E-penis cause i fucking called that tengan was the mastermind while everyone pointed at chisa.

unfortunately does look like kirigiri is dead as you can get, that said im still suspicious as to what that fucking bottle was there for, like i dont want to be clinging onto tinfoil theories and everything but the fact they went out of their way to animate a bottle just feels suspicious to me. Maybe it was a red herring just to cause idiots like me to look too far into something but i do feel like unless its brought up next episode seiko's character might of gone to waste.

lastly i hope the extra episode in despair arc is a epilogue for this cast overall, they could easily wrap this all up next ep for future but not with an epilogue

There's also this weird thing Tengan said just after the survivors of the School Life of Mutual Killing escaped. Something along the lines of: (in my french subs)

*zoom in on Tengan, eyes closed, then suddenly open* "They unlocked the gate."

It was the last thing that was said in the introduction scene (the flashback where the Future Foundation members witness the survivors' exits).
It's really peculiar because it's basically an emphasis on something that sounds so obvious.

Damn. I haven't felt so depressed about a characters death since Gundham died in Danganronpa 2. Juzo death was extremely well written, and I didn't expect to like his character to this extent. wew. I'm literally getting misty eyed at this point.
Amazing guy, and the best thing about it is, he's still an asshole. I love how they kept his original character trait, yet developed him into someone this enjoyable.

The mystery of the counter seems to be ongoing. It was six, so does that mean the other person was Hagakure since it appears the whole thing was done from a distance?

Sakakura!! He was so strong in many ways... TT^TT At least place him properly Munakata so he can reast in peace... I really wished Munakata had some recovery medicine left...

So like is Togami alive or what?? Since it's almost over I am wondering what will happen next week!! What will be included, what will be left out, and so on~

i wanted the mastermind to be Nanami so bad so she didn't die and everything, but fucking Tengan? i suspected em for a long time up until he made his heroics then i moved back to my crazy Chisa or Nanami or both theory but those were wrong clearly.

people were calling it from the second episode when he wasn't looking like everyone else in that animated thing of em all too lol. still

Juzo was still an asshole and everything, but damn, was that an amazing way to go. hated him from the beginning, but just as he ended do i have a sliver of admiration for the guy. powerful stuffs.
but now if only he coulda turned everything off when he first opened that monokuma door, he could've avoided Kyoko's demise :'(

was a happy episode and all, but still all my hopes in this show were shattered in a single episode. damn. i wanted Nanami and Kyoko alive and i had hope since the death count was off by 2 as well, but guess they really are dead ;~; i was banking on the Cure W theory thing that she survived the poison but rip. rip best girls. you didn't deserve to get written off the ways you both did :(

i just hope the Remnants from Jabberwock do something awesome as hell next episode cuz i'm really depressed right now from the revelation of everything :S

but yeah still an overall exceptional episode. really great how everything is finally tying together and making sense. look forward to the finale to future next week

Nice callback to the end of DR1. I mean we all knew the world was screwed the moment they stepped out but seeing the reactions was worth.

So it was suicide, and based on Naegi's test there's nothing vague about that any longer. We've seen despair do some messed up things to people in this series, but still - Ruruka killed herself like THAT???

Tengan's the mastermind and RoD? Well, Munakata certainly has a point about the building structure. But did Tengan actually tell him that or is he inferring it? (which is of course important because he couldn't tell a lie)

And Sakakura the hero...never thought I'd say that.

Technically the game's over with the bracelets off (they can't fall asleep anymore) but we still have 1 or 2 eps left. No idea what to expect now.

Mitarai's NG probably had something to do with his phone, not that it matters now. I still don't think he's been anything but used in this whole situation.

I just finished watching the Spanish subs for the episode, and the translations might be off for me in that case due to the stupid delays. But what an episode, it was pretty nice to see the reveals coming in place... and now we get to see how the god damn brainwash comes into play here as well. It's not only on Zetsubou-hen that focuses on the brainwashing, and I really like how things connect and expand more in the episodes. Overused? Yeah, but clearly there is something more to it.

One thing that I have to give props for the anime is that they made one of the most depressing scene in Mirai-hen, and for me personally the most triggered-inducing scene for this one. It was the scene where Naegi slowly turns into despair... just because he saw this dream and saw everyone telling him "why are you still alive?" and such, it just seemed more as a curse, hence why he turned into despair quickly. But I really, really hated that scene in a way because of personal reasons. I did felt irritated seeing Naegi WITH SWIRLY EYES. It was depressing and it's like him saying "I'll do it" (from translations), really just made me feel depressed.

Another thing though, so what Tengan implied here was, basically everyone committing suicide, not that everyone is attacking each other. He said it really vaguely which kind of made sense now after this week... I was pretty interested in this case, it also connects to probably the event of the Tragedy (I think that was the one where a lot of people committed suicide? Please correct me on this).

Also another thing to point out its Juzo as a character... Oh boy, I feel like saying a shit ton from his end:

- Everything from his attitude all made sense here after Zetsubou hen, from the reason why he hated Naegi to begin with (because Naegi was the one that killed Junko, and Juzo wanted to do so in order to basically put the point where Munakata wouldn't believe him at all, though Munakata found out about the betrayal from Juuzo's end 2 weeks ago).

- He had the guts to cut his arm off, which well realistically speaking, nobody would actually do this because basically it takes a second thought into consideration, in terms of "what if I do this?" and basically nobody from Future Foundation would actually do that, maybe with the exception of Kirigiri (but that technically would become a plot hole as I discussed with a friend of mine, since he said that she does have the will to do so, and she is already aware that she's the one risking herself)

But still good goes on him for doing that.

- The fact that he forced himself to go towards the area where the power cord is (well assuming he went inside previously I think 2 weeks ago, I think it was the same area) just to help everyone, and well doing something right, was a pretty nice scene to look and see at. Despite the fact that he never told Munakata his feelings, but I think this was a way to set that even if he was an apparent "despair" he's still there.

Another thing I do have in mind is that the execution for these specific scenes were really, really well done in my personal opinion, it just gives the sort of psychological state, as well with depressive state with Naegi, as well with the whole scene with Juuzo even I do love these scenes and I pretty much appreciate it.

Another thing though, I never expected the ending to be like that, in the sense where apparently Tengan sent a message to Ryota, but then it wouldn't add up since we saw Tengan being dead in front of us, he got pinned to a pole and his throat was slitted up. It doesn't add up, and we only have one more episode even. It's worry warting.

But aside from that, I really like the episode though. Loved it.

This was the best episode of DR3 yet. The twists in this episode were great and Sakakura is such a bro. DR3 really added three great characters (Munakata, Sakakura and Yukizome) to an already very solid DR cast.

Just for you to know, Despair arc end this week with the 11 ep. Future arc end next week with 12 ep. Then there will be the real last episode who is a crossover episode that serve as conclusion of both arcs, so all the mysteries will be reveal in this special episode next thursday.

Thanks a lot, I was wondering how they will handle this.
