if your looking for a cheap copy of volume 7 you may be in for a bit of a search but if money isnt an issue then amazon have a few copies lying about:

7 and 8 are both out of print. They can only be bought second hand. I'd try watching ebay since people often sell it on there, not knowing what it's now worth.

Excel Saga volume 8 on amazon: $999 LOL

I've had huge problems looking for a cheap volume 8, it's the only volume missing in my collection. T_T

I got lucky with 7 because a used bookstore near me was selling it for $4, lol
(I know if I'm ever in a money pinch, I'll sell that thing for top dollar and get the Japanese versions for cheap)

I've thought about just getting the Japanese version, but I don't feel that my Japanese is good enough yet.
(if Excel Saga had furigana then I would get it right away...)

If all else fails after a few months of looking, then that's what I might just have to do.

Just keep looking. It took me a while, but I finally found a copy of #8 at a local shop under a huge stack of porn and Star Trek comics.

It's a shame 8 is out of print, it's absolutely hilarious! :D

There is something up with Viz and volume 7... both Saikano and Please Save My Earth it was the first volume that became hard to get. It's freaking annoying, especially since I don't live in the us and can't randomly find it in some comic store.

Sad that this happened to Excel Saga since I was planning on getting that eventually (love the anime) but Viz is making it really hard. What's the deal with keeping previous volumes in print if you are just going to stop producing some random ones in the middle of a series?

I sure hope that they will further extend their "BIG edition"-line with some more titles soon.

Still overpriced, heh. I bought volume 7+8 off of my local comic dealer in Germany for 7€ each. There are still some copies left if I recall correctly.

MAL is far from being my primary site for literature, which is why I’ve stopped doing single-chapter updates. Baka-Updates and two French sites are far superior—more detailed, complete, and less restrictive. They're perfect for manga, light novel, and book collectors like me, making the process much less stressful and tiring. -g-
